One painting in an ebook....

Wow! This is an amazing day!

I just received the announcement that the Art ebook that I am in is now published. You can see it by clicking on this link. A-Walk-into-Abstracts. You can also purchase it in an ebook version for now!

That's pretty nice to be part of an Abstract book for me. There are 32 artists represented in it. In the book you will read the development of each piece of art, the way they were created and explained by each artist.

Here is my piece in the book

Soon I will be in Art Bomb, a new concept art sale. Please click on the link below to learn more: http://www.artbombdaily.com/

In July the 5enses will be exhibiting at La Place Des Arts in Coquitlam BC

The show is called

Some more news will come later regarding that show.

In August the 5enses will have a tent at the Harmony Festival in West Vancouver BC

More news regarding those venues later.

How is that for lots of things to talk about in one blog posting!

International Artist Day

About International Artist Day

October 25th is International Artists Day.

Artists are a much ignored group although almost anything you use day to day has an artistic design at its root. Throughout history art has been the most important defining characterization of a culture or people. Art survives personalities, dynasties, movements and civilizations. Artists are pioneers and are usually at the forefront of changing times and events.

Where does the inspiration for art come from?

The day chosen to honor artists worldwide is October 25th, Picassos' birthday.

Why this artist and not another was more a matter recent contribution. Picasso was instrumental in bringing art to the masses more than any other artist up to that time. He is the iconic artist personified. Now more than ever it is important to focus on art and culture. Mainstream television, globalization and the internet are wiring everyone up to the lowest common denominator. By giving our attention to artists, we have the opportunity for one day to focus on what is eternal and timeless in our civilization.

Hope you enjoy art every day of the year!
